Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Solopreneur Circle for?

It's for those who are tired of the 9 to 5 life, or those who have faced retrenchment. Learn from other solopreneurs who have become financially independent and have quit their addiction to the paycheck. How did they get started? What's their best and worst business advice? How much do they earn? How do they attract clients?

Why can't you release the full interviews for free?

It takes time to look for legitimate solopreneurs, conduct the interviews, and money to buy the tools to edit the videos and pay for this website. I prefer not to generate income from advertising or promoting products because that can make the content biased. I only interview solopreneurs who have created a long-term, sustainable income. They are not newbies trying to sell a get-rich-quick scam, and the information and experience that they reveal in each interview are extremely high quality, objective and valuable.

Why solopreneurs and not other types of businesses?

There is already lots of free content available online for all kinds of business models. However, the solopreneur business model is a unique model that appeals to people who want the maximum amount of freedom as it tends to be the leanest. Since there is no need to hire full-time staff or pay office rent, their expenses remain low and profit margins remain high. This setup also allows location-independence aka digital nomadism.

The solopreneur model also has a smaller learning curve compared to running a large business. It is much easier to transition from 9 to 5 to solopreneurship.

What is the difference between a solopreneur and freelancer?

Solopreneurs usually have recurring revenue, whereas freelancers earn based on project- or hourly rates. Solopreneurs build a brand around their businesses, whereas freelancers focus on promoting their skills.
